We woke up early to head to Chatuchak. It was like a maze, we walked around and went to the pet section to get some pet stuff. Bought some clothes especially for work, not cheap though. One dress cost me about 900 baht. Then we headed to Chinatown, where there was a massive jam. Nothing much here but we managed to have our lunch at Nam Sing bird nest. It was hard to get a taxi, so we got carrot chop by a tuktuk and we went to MBK after which for dinner. Ended the day with a massage in the comfort of our hotel room.

Happy new year everyone :)

We stayed in and countdown at home by watching tv and seeing the fireworks from afar. It was spectacular though.

In 2011, many significants events happened such as moving house, completion of my studies, travelling to Las Vegas. 2011 was full of ups and down,I am looking forward to my 2012 with you.

Dinner at The Tower Club

On Tuesday, we went to The Tower Club for dinner with his friends.

The restaurant was on the 63rd storey so we had a really nice view :)

We began dinner with a tiny mouthful of mushrooms. It was savoury sweet, probably glazed with honey.

Followed by minced beef with nuts on a lettuce.

My favourite soup filled with delicacies such as abalone, bamboo, fish maw.

Wasabi prawns with brocolli and we had another two more vegetables dishes which i did not take pictures.

Fish with mushrooms and snow peas.

Another dish full of delicacies :)

Ended with Tang Yuan in almond paste for desserts.

Went to visit the little girls yesterday :) They cut their hair short cos school is starting.

Christmas week

Last Sony event with the girls was somewhat memorable.

Rainy weekend with the whole MRT saga causing us so much inconvenience :(

I will miss working with the girls :)

Christmas shopping for presents, thankfully we managed to leave Vivocity before 5pm, cos apparently a police officer was shot dead in the toilet that very day.How terrifying!

We had a bbq+party on christmas eve and then headed to Zouk.

On Christmas day, we played monopoly after we got up

Went home for Christmas party again. We had so much fun with my sister and cousins, they kept bullying me and making me drink the wine.

Went over to my old house for a short walk. Really miss that place :'(

Then picked Angel up and we went to Valarie's birthday party at Klapsons.

The best gift you can give to someone is your time, because you are giving them something you can never get back.

Finally Deborah is back :) I havent met her since our lunch date at Fullerton Boathouse cause she has been flying all over the world. Although time was limited, we had a great time catching up, see you hopefully in Jan when you are back.

Went to have lunch with sis and Aunt. When we were about the leave, my sis kept the Kaiseiki menu in her bag SUPER FUNNY.

Its my last weekend of work. Although there were some unhappy working moments with a certain event company that is causing me to dread work. Thankfully i am working with Bernice and Alison this weekend for Sony at Orchard Road. The past few years spent working in this line has been a great experience. I met many nice girls and some really good friends.

Anyway if you spot us roving around town, do come up to us to say hi. :)

Although i am happy, I am starting to feel that my life now is mundane. Everyday i wake up i do chores, watch tv, go to B's office and spend time with my beloved and then its time to head to bed again. I think i am facing early life crisis? I dont know what to do.

Should i find an office job or should i start my own business? The office job will take up most of time, keep me occupied, however pay wise, its really disappointing. I started my blog shop for little girls :) you can visit it here The Little Dollies

Hello! today is a special day, its 11/11/11 and thus i have scheduled the post at 11.11am.

After work on friday, had dinner with Kyi and Sherry. We wanted to dine at the 2d1n place, but it was way too crowded so we went the korean restaurant next door. IT WAS A BAD CHOICE!

We ordered a few dishes, and they were SUPER spicy until both Kyi and i had diarrhoea.tskkkk

Service was really bad too

Sony roving at Raffles Place and Orchard

Examinations are finally finally over! OMG!!! Dear markers of my exam scripts, please let me successfully pass my university education with flying colours!

As mentioned, last friday to sunday i was working with the girls for Sony Roving :) Basically, we got people to check in on Facebook, did some surveys and introduce them the Sony NEX 5N.

Weekends at Orchard :)

Looking forward to the next Roving in december with the girls. We will be visiting the heartland areas next.

On wednesday, after my third paper and fitting, we went for a yacht trip :) It was B's company outing.

They brought us to Lazarus Island, we went down for a walk. There was no inhabitants at the island except a tiny kitten.

F1 at the Sail

This is super belated, but anyway, remember i mentioned that i work for F1 with Junying at The Sail? :)

After having our dinner, we changed and started work. Super easy job, just take pictures with the guest.

We went to explore the Sail's facilities with the guests. There was two/three swimming pools and a water gym!

Then before we knew it, it was time to end work, had fun working with Junying :)

Off to study, two more papers to go before i officially graduate!

The Singapura Lion City Musical

Last thursday, I was invited to watch The Singapura Lion City Musical and Yuki came with me :)

I first got to know about the musical a few weeks ago when B spotted the commercial on tv.

The musical consisted of 5 acts with the first act beginning with the discovery of Singapore by Sang Nila Utama, followed by the founding of modern singapore, independence of Singapore, beautiful Singapore and finally ending with Glorious Singapore. It lasted 80 minutes with a mixture of acrobatics performances, singing, dancing.

Here are some pictures taken during the finale :)

The visual effects and the acrobatics stunts were really impressive. It is definately worth watching :)

Tickets are priced between $48-$118, and the musical are held at Kallang Theatre (alight at Stadium station, circle line)

Finally 7 days of roadshow for the Sony NEX cameras and tablet is over! I had such a good time working with the girls and the Sony people (glad to see familiar faces like Zarah) and our in charge Desmond was very nice too! Looking forward to the upcoming Sony roving :)

On saturday, attended the wedding of Auntie lina's sister at MBS after work. I love weddings :)

Jeremy was dancing the entire night on stage, super funny!!! He played the song on the phone and started dancing, not shy at all! Apparently my SNSD crazy cousin Elton has been teaching him to dance every night LOL!!!!

Life after Vegas

Right after we got back, I had to attend school the very next day. Thankfully we did not suffer from jet lag. On that week, it was F1 week and his friend gave us grand stand tickets :)

On friday, i got Junying to work with me for a private f1 event. It was like the best job ever!

However, before i went to work, B started to have stomach pain, and it was so serious that an ambulance had to send him to the hospital. I rushed down after work. I was so damn worried. That night i took care of him, and i started to feel sick too.

Both of us ate the same food, so we suspect its food poisoning.

Two Sundays ago, B came to pick me up from my house. Since it was my last few days there, i brought B to the secret passage way at my estate which leads to Macritchie Reservoir. I miss my old house badly!!! :'(

The last of Las vegas

Time flew by, it was our last "full" day in Vegas

We decided to head to the Outlet for a day of shopping :) It was a sunday so it was relatively quiet. Most people fly in on friday, and leave on sunday. Anyway this outlet was nearer to our hotel, however they had lesser brands. Nevertheless, we bought lots of stuff again.

In the evening, we decided to head to the other outlet. The journey was about an hour cos of the jam. As it was a sunday, so they closed early :( We only had less than 30 mins and had to literally go into a "grab and pay" mode.

Dinner at Candylicious. THEY HAVE THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!

We slept late cos we were busy squeezing our luggage with our buys. B bought so much he had to put his stuff into my luggage. I realized i bought very little only :( I kept buying things for my family and friends that i thought i bought alot for myself. Oh well...

We had to get up super early and head to the airport. At the airport, they wanted to charge us US$200 for overweight baggage, but i think it was a scam cos the counter guy said "...or i could let it go with a tip" So we gave our last bit of USD to him and proceeded on..

At San Fran airport, instructions werent clear, and we waited like 30 mins for our luggages but none came, and omg we nearly missed our flight due to the snaking long queue for the immigration checks which was sooooooo troublesome. Thankfully we managed to cut queue into the first class queue and ran to our gate. PHEWWWWW

Took this picture at HK airport, was SO exhausted i tell you! I dont want to be an air stewardess anymore! Cant take long flights! First it was a 1.5hrs flight from Vegas to San Fran, followed by a 13.5hrs flight from San Fran to HK, and lastly a 3.5hrs flight from HK to Singapore.

Grand Canyon South Rim

We had to wake up super duper early for our trip to Grand Canyon. I did research, and apparently the South Rim was better, cos the Grand Canyon national park is located there. So on the first day we arrived in Vegas we went around researching which tour company and which package to take up.

Our package cost us about US$300, from Maverick tour company, and we took a private plane over, then travelled via coach at Grand Canyon(about 2 hours), and flew back.

We were lazing in bed too long so we ran down to our hotel's chocolate bar (apparently it is very famous). We got a crepe and pastry to share :)

My crepe had mushroom and bacon it was SO yummy!!!!

The coach came and drove us to the Maverick "airport", where we made full payment. On the first day we paid a deposit only. Then after which we waited for like 30 mins before our pilot came to brief us and all.

The south rim was much cooler than the north rim, cos it is further away from Vegas. It was about 12-16 degrees that day.

During the flight, it was super cool that they allowed us to go to the cockpit to talk to the pilots and take pictures.

first stop, we went to Grand Canyon national park and we were left there for about 1hr, cos there were a few people who opted for the helicopter option (had to pay $200 more i think) so the bus had to drive back to pick them up.

I was too exhausted that i fell asleep throughout the 1hr flight back. Then we still had to take the coach back to our hotel, super tiring!!!

I was flipping magazines in the room and realized the cafe which we saw was apparently quite popular, so we went there. It is called Serendipity 3, located outside Caesar Palace.

We had to wait about 20 mins for the table, if you want to sit outside at the patio, you have to wait even longer..

FOOD WAS SO YUMMY!!! but i think we ordered too much, we had trouble finishing our food.

The chocolate drink is their speciality, so cute hor! We ordered the portion for two.

And so that concludes our trip to the first out of the seven wonders in the world. Six more to go...

Hello october

On the sixth day (friday), we went to attend Mr Olympia, the main purpose for the trip. I just accompanied B while he does his work. I took a lot of pictures of the event where you can feast your eyes on the muscle men and women, you can view them on Nutrifirst website.

After the event ended, we lugged our heavy bags and took the bus back to our hotel. We were too exhauseted to head out so we had buffet at our hotel. It is rated as one of the best buffet in Vegas. As it was a friday, they were having the gourmet buffet thus it was more pricey, about US$39.90++

The selection of the buffet was pretty good, and there was a wide array of desserts too.

Drinks were free flow, unlike singapore, they offer fresh fruit juice, soft drinks, and i think there are wine or beer (not sure if you have to pay for liqueur though)

In the midst of moving house :( It is such a horrible process cos i have to pack pack pack and then unpack unpack unpack. I will miss staying in the central part of singapore :(

September ends today, this month was super fun cos i got to travel with my bubbles :) Time flew by!
On the fifth day in vegas, we finally had buffet!!!

I wasnt feeling well so i ate a little only :(

After breakfast went back to our room to rest, we slept until late noon. Then woke up, walked over to Paris, bought tickets for the bus and headed to fashion mall for shopping.

In the evening, we went to Fremont St which is off the strip. It is some tourist attraction. this is one of the many trinkets shop.

Fremont Street Experience, well I think the attraction is the lightings, and there are free stage performances. The atmosphere is different from the strip. If you have time to spare, you should come! It is about 3-5 bus stops away from the strip, if you take the Express bus (SDX).

Our dinner which consisted of lobster and steak, cost $11.99usd before tax! Food is much cheaper off the strip. At the strip, steak would cost at least $20-$30usd before tax. Tax is an additional 8.1% and then there's the tips. We usually tip usd$2, when the standard practice is 10-15%, i think? We didnt have much usd cash, 90% of the time we sign card.

Golden nugget hotel has gambling even at the pool side!!! HAHAHA The casinos off the strip make their dealers wear very sexy, but the casinos at bellagio(our hotel) are properly dressed.

Anyway there was this aquarium thing in the pool, super cool and there was a slide too!!!!!!

Then we got some drinks and called it a day, headed back to our hotel..

It's been a year, and I am so thankful i have you in my life :)

On the 4th day in Vegas, we were supposed to go for our Grand Canyon South Rim flight. However due to bad weather (lots of wind) so it was postponed. We got up really early and so we went to walk around the other side of the Strip.

This is Monte Carlo hotel. It was a little chilly that day so i wore my new jacket.

Rainforest Cafe!

I remember dining at the rainforest cafe in Singapore's liang court many many years ago..

seeing the lions at MGM grand, and you could take pictures with the lion cubs for US$200 and you get 2-3 mins of interaction time -.- highly overpriced?

M&M shop at showcase mall, and there is a coca cola shop too.

Anyway B was so determined to buy M&M cos everyone was buying -.- There were 3 or 4 stories and you could customize your own M&Ms, but end up we didnt buy anything.

Before the show started, we went to do a little shopping at Fashion Mall and grabbed hotdogs for our late lunch.

We were so exhausted and hungry when the show ended, so we went to hunt for food. Settled for the chinese + spanish restaurant.

Chinese cuisine is still the best!

Yesterday we went for the movie preview of The Change Up, thanks to omy.sg. The movie starred Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Green Lantern) and Jason Bateman (Hancock, Horrible Bosses)!

Growing up together, Mitch (Reynolds) and Dave (Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they've slowly drifted apart. After watching the movie, although there are times when you envy other, but then i realized to be happy, you have to be contented with what you have, and family is the most important :) It was quite a funny movie, would rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

The third day, we took a short walk to the hotel next door, Caesars Palace.

Then at the cashier, i just remember something and rushed all the way to find a victoria secrets store. Thankfully managed to settle it and then we decided to have dinner at Cheesecake Factory after hearing so much raves about them

this was really refreshing :)

THIS WAS SO GOOD!

B said it was one of the best meal in Vegas!

B is really happy cos i let him go and buy his crystal. He was so cute when he said "YES! now i have bacarrat in my life"

Yesterday was the start of f1 and bubbles had food poisoning. Rushed to the hospital after work to see my poor baby
The second day, we had steak with eggs for breakfast :)

Walked over to Paris hotel to take the bus. There are two types, the Deuce and the SDX. SDX is the express bus, stops at fewer stops.

Just one hour of shopping and look at us!

In the evening, B got his Godiva milkshake after a long day of shopping! He had to carry the heavy shopping bags, super love him!

The adventure begins

Alright this is the first post about the Las Vegas trip!

On Sunday, we woke up really super duper early on Sunday for our flight, after having a really late night. So we were really tired! Brought along the lavender eye masks that Shimin got for me from japan :)

I was so so so happy when we landed after like 20+ hours of travelling.

had our lunch at sbarro, which is their fast food chain similar to pizza hut.

After lunch, we went to walk around the hotels and malls.

B had the lobster with chips, while i had the macaroni with lobster. I got a bit sick of the cheesy taste after a few mouth. There's even lobster flavoured ice cream, we didnt try that though.

My dress is from shoptan :) I received compliments from the sales assistants, they exclaimed very loudly "oooooh i love your dress", "ÿour dress is beautiful!"

goodbye my lovely home

Just got back to Singapore last night, will be blogging real soon!

In a few days time, i will be packing up and leaving this place for good. I can no longer call this place my home. All my life, i grew up here and now i have to move to somewhere foreign; a new place, a new environment. Everything will be different; I will no longer be able to walk to my popo's house, neither will i be able to walk around my favourite neighborhood places to have my favourite ice cream. I remember how we used to rollerblade or cycle downstairs when we were younger, sometimes even playing catching with our neighbours. Sometimes my sister and i would walk through the forest, through the path leading to MacRitchie Reservoir. I had this silly idea that a lion/tiger might pop up anytime, and just the slightest noise would scare me out of my wits.

This place holds so much memories for me. I shall take a few pictures of this lovely estate before i leave :( I will miss how convenient it is for me to travel to places, and the delicious food found here. Ahhhhhhh..the only consolation about my new place is that i will be just a few bus stop away from B.

After dinner with my family, we went over to Capella. The car park was full, so we had to use the valet. Super expensive valet!

While waiting for the buggy to pick us, we took some pictures.

Finally after about 20 mins, the buggy drove us to the villa.

Gong gong's birthday dinner

Last saturday evening, Mum booked two tables at seafood international for Gong gong's birthday dinner in advance. After I knocked off, i went to meet B. I was so hungry so B brought me to Singapore Post to grab some bites before heading down to east coast park.

Started with "Shou Tao", the longevity buns. Took pictures of a few dishes only, cos i was famished!

A day at the Museum ♥

On monday, i was waiting for my bus when i discovered i left my wallet in B's car! Ahhh so i went back home and decided to skip school. I met Lubna instead, cos she was leaving already :(

We could only chat for a short while before she had to leave for her appointment, dont know when will i see her again :( I hate goodbyes.

Then my microsd card adapter spoilt, so went to best denki but they have such TERRIBLE customer service, so i went somewhere else to buy a replacement. After which, i went to find B. We had dinner at his office's downstairs and went back to rest.

Yay public holiday on tuesday, so we could sleep in a little more :)

After we got up, we head to town. We wanted to have soba but there was a queue, then i suggested walking to Tung Lok cos i had vouchers. But end up i couldnt use the voucher cos it wasnt valid on a public holiday, sigh.

We waited patiently for my dad and brother to come, they took ages!!!

It was supposed to be my treat, but then Dad treated us instead :)

Anyway after lunch, brought Samuel to buy his soccer shoes for his birthday present, then B and I took a walk to the National Museum of Singapore. Actually i wanted to see the Terracotta warriors exhibition at Asian Civilisation Museum, but it was too far away!

On our way there, we saw this super duper long snake queue to the Istana, all the way till Plaza Singapura's bus stop, despite the drizzle!

On our way back to Wisma (cos we parked there), we went to Triple One at Somerset to see the advert i did for Imperial Treasure Steamboat a long time ago. B kept teasing me, first he said my face will be no bigger than the 50 cents coin. BUT EH IT IS BIGGER THAN THAT OK!

Then he kept laughing cos they placed this picture at one corner (near ntuc and the TOILET -.-) so he said i am toilet face -.- zzzzzz

Wanted to have tea at TWG but there were queues. If you realize, i dont like to queue. So we went to the new shop at Ngee Ann City, Picnique (or something like that).

B ordered this waffle with salted caramel and rocky road ice cream. We were wondering why their rocky road ice cream is not chocolate one.B said maybe cos most of their food is vanilla based.

I GOT CHEATED TO ORDER THIS MILKSHAKE!!!!

Its called P&J milkshake, according to the waitress she said its peanut butter and jelly, but NO!!! I CANT TASTE JELLY, i think its jam? Anyway both of us had to play scissors paper stone to finish the drink

It was so super duper crowded so we decided to buy mooncakes another day. We went back early again cos we were tired HAHAHA I think we are getting old.

Wednesday:

After i woke up, we went to Serangoon Gardens. B kept raving about the lor mee, it was really super duper yummy!!!! I was secretly happy when i saw my bowl of lor mee came without spring onions and parsley, cos i hate them and i am glad B remembered. Then we went back to his office and i was studying a little before i went for class. After school, B came to pick me and we went to Sim lim to buy some stuff. I was super hungry and so we settled dinner nearby at this laksa place, not cheap ok. (i am starting to talk like B :O)

Finally done with comex :) Two tests, one tomorrow and one on wednesday!!!! Wish me luck~

Last friday met Crystal for late lunch in town :)

We had ramen, yay was craving for that too~

Followed by desserts :)

My dress is from ShopTan :) My friends said its nice! Hehehe the material is good and comfy~

Then B came to pick me, and we went to have steamboat dinner at Ion with his friends.

Went to kill time so we went to have coffee. B bought this cupcake cos he said it looks nice. Then, we went to Taboo and then Butter :)

Shopping day on saturday, after accompanying B to vote.

We spent almost 5 hours at Metro walking up and down 3 levels cos B had vouchers. End up we bought travel locks for our upcoming trip, present for my bro, toys for my 3 cousins and some skin care products and my powder.

By the time we were done, it was 7pm already and we were famished!!!

We only ate roti prata in the morning.

On Sunday, we had breakfast + lunch with his friends at Tung Lok, then I went for jap class. After class B came to meet me at Bugis to buy socks, and have some food before heading over to East coast park.
