Formula 1 Singapore

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOO

Lookie, i just came back from a mini shopping spree!!!
During my lunch break, I went over to purchase my new phone - LG ARENA
Even though LG Viewty died on me really fast (less than a year), I am going to give LG one more chance to redeem themselves, SO DONT DISAPPOINT ME OKAY? :)
It cost me $198 as I re-contracted, BUT BUT, i traded in the viewty and also used the voucher,
SO I PAID ONLY $18

& after work, popped by make up forever to grab some cosmetics, seriously i was out within 10-15 minutes. So the damage was $151.
The damage made to my pocket was so minimal

I only paid $1 for it, as I had vouchers to use up! HAHAHA :)
I love vouchers, especially Takashimaya vouchers, I can use them to buy my groceries, buy my favourite durian puffs (OMG!), cosmetics, pillows also ( ok random! )

so today i spent only $19, and made a grand savings of.....

$330 (180+150)
YAY I AM SO THRIFTY!

miss the babies soooo sooo much.
I havent been able to see them every morning because yours truly keep lazing in bed, refusing to get up! I promise I will try to be more disciplined!

My popo house is like this wonderful place filled with wonderful delicious food, not to mention, my popo is a wonderful wonderful cook, she cooks very delicious yet nutritious traditional chinese/cantonese food to even japanese, korean food :)

My auntie kept this ultra delicious d24 durian snow skin mooncake, it was heavenly!!!

If I didnt remember wrongly, it cost about $50 for 4 mooncakes, bought from Junction 8.

Then it was a rush for work...

We had different locations, keep moving around the entire cricket club.

There was a super long waiting list everyday!

By the way, they were the same company that did the f1 stimulator for Instinet at Trade Tech Asia, which Calista and I worked together a year ago! What a coincidence.

It cost approximately 3k per day to rent this machine, and 45k to purchase the entire set

no joke, getting old :(

I was super duper worn out at the end of the day.
Used my lunch break to collect the pass, didnt get to eat :(

I was crazily hungry until i could have my dinner around 7pm.
I got to return my pass on sunday/monday :(

The superb view we could enjoy from one of the VIP rooms :)

Went outside to the Padang field, very fun out there! HEHE :)

I am super duper exhausted :(

Import vs Export

When you work for such shows, it is hard to avoid taking pictures with friends, as we rarely meet up, probably see each other a few times a year during the various shows/castings.

So...the last time we saw each other was Communicasia in June, prior to that we worked the Panasonic event over at Raffles Place...

This scene above is a very common scene, as I mentioned, like honey to bees, bees to flowers.

Work was extremely tiring, waking up as early as 630am.
Its week 5, so its another 5 more weeks to go, I CAN DO IT!

Butter Factory for workkkk
first time working instead of partying there :)

Our job was just to help the party people over at Butter Factory to take pictures using the polaroid, and they could put on the masks as well, decorate and add their personalized touch to them too :D By the way, it was COMPLIMENTARY from Chivas, in other words Free Of Charge
Needless to say, it was a huge hit. Many of them came up to us, instead of us approaching them...

yea the masks was quite annoying at first, have to get used to it :D
had difficulties breathing, wanted to rip it off
the satin black gloves was sooooo sexy but very impractical especially when we have to slot the pictures in..took us a longer time to get it done.

Super Import Night 2009

The annual anticipated car show with many many imported models from Taiwan, Thailand and USA, accompained by our own local models.
No wonder so many photographers and non photographers alike mark this date on their calendar to head down to Singapore Expo despite the entrance fee.

I saw many many familiar faces like Dawn, Joanne, Amy, Winnie, Amanda, Jaslin...
but didnt manage to see some, until they called me when I was in the train :(

so tomorrow, if you are heading down, give me a buzz
I am at Garage R booth, right at the front...
There is a wide array of sports car, especially Yvonne's favourite GTR
The import models do make appearances at our booth, ranging from games to dances..woohoo drawing huge huge crowd, can be liken to honey to bees. HAHA! well well...

& see that is our uniform for today -.-
tomorrow one is going to be better!!!!

and on the way back got stalked by this uncle.
late 40-50+, keep looking and winking at me, then squeezed and stood right in front of me, blocked my way and said HI.
scared the wits out of me, but end up, he is super coward.
He got frightened off when i raise my voice a little!

The Cove movie

Hi!
sorry for not blogging for a few days.OL life is seriously boring to the max!
no more energy to wake up early!!!!! ARGH
4 weeks down! YAY 6 more to go.

I collected my f1 uniform during lunch break. I was the first to pick so I had the choice of the dress or the jacket. Initial though was the dress, as the jacket had to bare midriff.
BUT the dress was super short and thin!
so no choice..not going to wear the checkered shorts!!!!!!!!
think its going to be a fun fun event, hope will have people i know
anyone else working at singapore cricket club for f1? :)

going out tomorrow and have work too :) so excited!

P.S. Did anyone saw the trailer for the documentary movie - The Cove?

毎日がんばろ

Its tuesday only, totally lack of energy!
Saw quite a no of friends around during work, was so shocked! :O

Anyway on sunday, worked with Isabelle over at Marriott hotel.
We were kind of dreading it at first due to some issues, but after which it was somewhat a misunderstanding.
The job was really relax, love the cake, it was SO good :)

So happened the birthday girl's sister was Isabelle's secondary school friend.
What a small world huh? especially in singapore!!!
Our job was basically to get the guests to sign on the guestbook and posters and also handing them the lucky draw ticket :)

The birthday girl, Felicia likes Lady gaga so much! haha keep hearing poker face over and over again! There were dancers who were hired, they could dance really well, and songs sang, even magicians.Super cool!
There was a "surprise" lucky draw where 5 lucky winners were picked, so 5 of her friends walked away with prizes such as TV, DVD players and digital camera.
Oh i heard her birthday present was a diamond, in addition to the US $10,000 red packet she received, WOAH

That's Sihan and her friend! Her friend's dress was super duper bling bling, to fit the Lady Gaga theme. AND AND AND i like her handphone,which she bought from the plane, its super mini and cute!

We didnt really have much to do, lucky :)

Went inside the other room in the Legacy suite, the magician was quite kind to let Isabelle play with his birds, there were many hidden in his huge bag...

Of all sizes...

Kind of freak me out, but well they are well trained!

I forced her to wash her hands immediately, MUST BE CAREFUL

still got h1n1 and whatever bird flu still,dont play play

lastly, got our pay and left! YAY!!!!!

hahahaha and yes this is our boss who hired us :)

He is a good boss :D

Kopi, Coffee or Kohi

As the clock struck closer and closer to 530pm, suddenly my workload became heavy, by the sudden allocation.
The only thoughts then in my mind was to complete the tasks at top speed, of course not comprimising on the quality.
It was around 6pm that I whizzed out of the building at lightening speed...

Japanese food again for dinner, I dont get to eat much these days due to my colleagues' preferences. Not complaining, as its a blessing to be able to savour mouthwatering local delicacies.
If my best friends were with me, it would be great. All of us are so busy in this stupid september month, either with examinations, work or F1. I am guilty of that too :(

After dinner and mini shopping, we walked all the way from far east plaza to somerset area in search of a nice chill out place. IT WAS SO DIFFICULT!!!!
Okay, maybe i am a teeeny weeeny picky. Am spoilt for choices around my neighbourhood with the accessibility of chill out places, like the good ol' ice cream place, waffle place and also the roti prata place!

Lowered the criteria and settled for a quaint little shop hidden in the back alleys. Our legs were on the verge of breaking anyway!
Decided to get matcha cheesecake. I like Matcha, its an acquired taste :) Not everyone will like the taste, some say it has a fishy smell. Well its the same as the liking for durians, smelly tofu..

Calista is a beautiful OL ^_^

Anyway, she ordered this berry Parfait which looks and taste super delicious yet really guilt free :) Super healthy with all those fruits all over!

And she snapped that picture of me, HAHA i didnt notice until she sent it to me, so sneaky! HAHAHA

Two very very tired OL after a hard day at work!!!!

Samuel came back last night from Bali and is sick. Sore throat plus fever. He went to Mt. Alvernia and is somewhat better. DONT SPREAD TO ME PLEASE! I cannot afford to miss any day at work, my grades is at stake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since yesterday I have been feeling really feverish!!! This morning, I was like a walking zombie, with listless eyes, like my battery has ran out.

Where to eat 3

i am so hungry, its 3am.
nothing in the kitchen :(

I AM CRAVING FOR A PIPING HOT BOWL OF RAMEN

yes yes i know many of you out there are complaining i always want to eat japanese food, especially ramen!
This place was introduced to me more than a year ago, by a classmate :) The first time I savoured this bowl of delicious ramen, I pledged my loyalty!
Let me tell you why this bowl of $14 nett bowl of ramen is worth every cent!

1) The base is cooked painstakingly for many hours, using a secret recipe from Japan.
2) Their egg IS UNBEATABLE,with its soft texture,leaves you craving for more..
3) Their noodles are free from preservatives, leaves you assured of its quality :)
4) Usually, I abstain from meat, be it chicken or pork. I dislike the taste of "blood" and fats. But let me assure you, this one is made out of sweet lean meat, and it melts in your mouth.

Xin Ni ordered Tonkatsu Ramen

while I had Miso ramen.

They only have ramen there, with complimentary free flow green tea or ice water.
Despite increasing their price slightly, I will still patronize them!

Comparing Men-Tei to Baihoken, both have different flavours, probably due to the region which they originated from.
Baihoken's noodle has a springy texture, however the bamboo shoots are thick and meat has a bit of fats. In addition, they have a wider variety offered in the menu. and and, its so much more convenient for me to go there!
Men-Tei is best for ramen craving days, their side dishes(tamago, bamboo shoots and yakibuta) are delicious, priced from $1 onwards. I LOVE THEIR EGGGGGGG! And they have quite a nice environment, air-conditioned, clean...

Men-Tei Japanese Noodles is located at 61, Robinson Road, Robinson Center, #01-01, Singapore 068893.

After a hearty meal, went for shopping! After 3 hours of intensive shopping, managed to bring home some loots...A new bag,dress and also a pair of shoes.

I have serious shoe woes! My shoes tend to wear out toooooo fast. Am I so rough with my shoes? They spoil way too fast, either the rubber soles chip or some part just spoils. On a random note, I loveeeee to shop for shoes though =x

dont forget...

Sorry for the delay, work was really really tiring!

Nowadays been having lunch together with my colleagues as we are around the same age, with me being the youngest. We went to many eating places together.
Today we went into a restaurant along boat quay. It was really nicely furnished with a fusion of modern and vintage style. We welcomed the two new interns over lunch, as yesterday we had meeting and had to lunch in. ( no complaints though, the packed food which we ordered (and yes we paid for it ourselves), stingray + rice yumyumyum!
Ah back to today's lunch, we had fish and chips set! The two pieces of fish fillet was huge, i could barely finish one, left the restaurant feeling super bloated.
Didnt bring my camera today :(
A few days back we went to this tiny cafe to indulge in authentic hakka yong tau foo. The taste was really different from what I have been eating all along.

Moving on to part 2 of where to eat for lunch?

A few months back, when I worked with Joanne Claire for Panasonic, we went to a really healthy cafe for our 3hrs break. The homely deco makes you feel so welcomed :)
Second time, I went there with Deborah, she enjoyed the food.
We even spotted celebrities like Jacelyn Tay, Vincent (the wushu expert actor).

Was recommended to try their strawberry cake, which had a subtle and fluffy texture.

I always end up ordering this!
The green crisp salad, together with brown rice and dory fish.
A healthy and almost guilt free meal :)
Price wise, rather reasonable, less than $20/meal.

Their smoothie is really yummy too! Get your daily dose of fruits intake in a cup!

Bored in Bus

Hellooooo my dear friends!

Had a good weekend? Its back to 5 days of slogging hard!!!
My initial weekend plans was destroyed completely. あなたのせいです！

Saturday after a long day of nua-ing at home, decided to get my butt out of the house.

Had dinner at Popo's house...the usual weekly saturday gathering.

My popo cooks really delicious mouthwatering meals.

Saturday Gonggong and Popo caught a huge crab and yours truly was happily eating the best part of the crab - the pincers aka the GONGS

It was succulent and sweet. I LOVE SEAFOOD!

Then it was a last minute decision to head out to party, after 2 weeks of absence.

On the way there, the bus stop was filled with people who went for getai and 7th month celebration gave us weird stares, felt like slap したい to them.

Went to Butter Factory first.

A long long time since we went there, it no longer excites us already.

Our new found love......PHUTURE!!!!

Butter was having some event going on, so the music was not as good as I expected.

Instead it was a bore...it was packed and the VIP area was more cramped than the dance floor
So whats the use of being a VIP?

The only one I can think of is skipping queue and getting in really really fast!

Stayed in butter for so long that I started to go crazy.

BUTTTTT

upon reaching zouk (phuture), I WAS REVIVED.
saw a few friends there :)

Super wasted, didnt take pictures while partying! Had to make good use of every minute left.
But happy times are short lived, only 30 minutes of blasting music and crazy partying.

Wish the night didnt end so quickly, needed more song...

After which, met Janice for a short while as it was her birthday. She was really high!

Hope she had a great time that day :)

Calls me early in the morning, refuses to tell me who he is, and then said want to talk.
I dont talk to strangers, so here's my reply

How many times have this occured? I dont know who leaked out my number or even how they get it. Why are they so desperate, there are many chat lines around where they can call and chat with them at a small fee, instead of pestering ME. By lodging a report with the police is useless, seriously. I have done so a few times, but yet, its coming back again and again.
Dont they have FRIENDS to talk to? Is it fun to talk to strangers?
Sometimes they claim to be "photographers", sometimes they claim I GAVE IT TO THEM ( possibility almost 0). What rubbish are they uttering.

With that said, here is today's criminal.

Cinderella's tears

Hellooooo I am back :)
I feel really sleepy!

Anyway Cordelia, I dont get to wear casual denim everyday!
Taken some random day a few days ago, TADAHHH new style: OL style yo
Even though there isnt anything interesting, just dress to kill! I try to avoid the usual stuffy long sleeve formal shirt even though its really freezing cold in the office.
I am wearing my mum's clothes because I dont own any formal wear sadly :( Want to bring me go shopping? My mum is so petite that I had a limited range that I could fit :(

Xin yi darling gave this to me! YAY LOVE YOU DEBORAH for remembering me even when you are having a blast over at Spain...I am amazed at how many things you can buy within 3 hours of shopping time given over there.

and tadahh met xin yi darling (aka Deborah Yeo) and yuki cheese (aka Yuki Tanaka!!!) yesterday after work!
the duo waited patiently for me as I had to OT again.

we were waiting patiently for the theatre hall to open, and look they started munching already
Watching COCO before Chanel!!!! 2 hours ++ show
Was gushing over the beautiful lace pieces shown..Although its a long movie, but worth it :)

ZOOM INTO YUKI's BEAUTIFUL FACE!HAHAHAHA
She loves nachos too much until she got a terrible tummy ache that depleted her ENERGIZE-R battery COMPLETELY!!!!!!
Before the movie she was doing all kind of retarded actions especially at the arcade she wanted to play the tv screen animal game. Throughout the movie she was like a dying elephant.
After the movie, Deborah and I got infected too :( NO MORE NACHOS for us.

i love munching the popcorn,BUT i found so much lumps of ROCK SUGAR inside,GV SUCKS
super no quality, BOYCOTTTTTT
I felt like I was eating rocks and there were so many seeds too!

The movie theatre was super duper empty, only us AT FIRST, so we took pictures.
Yuki was feeling unwell at this moment so no pictures :D

Went home and got a big surprise, I won the DKNY perfume, which they have been frantically trying to contact me since June, SORRRRY! totally didnt receive any email until last night.
Something is wrong with hotmail i suppose :(

I can't really recall what I joined, but anyway BIG THANKS :D one more added to my collection!
So far all my 50ml perfume are all PINK (Estee Lauder Pink, Paul Smith Rose, Gucci Floral and now DKNY Fresh Blossoms). I have some others too including Burberry and Lancome..but i dont really use them..
I love pink and everything pink. WHOOPEEE *(^.^)*
